Institution of marriage
Institution of marriage is the oldest social institution. It perhaps came into force to reduce rivalry between males to have conjugate relations with females and produce children.
Accordingly, Marriage is essentially a union between a male and a female. This is so almost in all societies of the world.
Purpose of marriage is generally to have exclusive conjugal rights and progeny.
It involves social recognition, certain restrictions, and property rights etc. that may vary from society to society.
These days some people are bent upon tarnishing the institution of marriage specifically in USA. There are some people who want same sex marriages to be allowed i.e. marriages between gays and lesbians. New York has even allowed it. Some people have appeared even in India who blindly follow these Americans. Let them have any type of contract between them; with any conditions they want to follow, let them remain unmarried. Why do these people should be allowed to use the name of marriage for their relationship. Same sex relationship is in any case unnatural and not acceptable by an extremely large majority of the people.
Let the marriage remain purely between a male and a female.
