InderLok on line 1(red line) and Kirti nagar on line 3(Blue line) are to be connected soon via Ashoka Park Main on Green Line. 16/11/2011Air Port Express Line Dhauka Kuan and Delhi Aero City Stations are now functional. 14/07/2011Dwarka- Anand Vihar Line now extented to Vaishali in Ghaziabad With Yamuna Bank to Anand Vihar Link of blue line now extended upto Vaishali, Blue Line is now working to Ghaziabad upto Vaishali. 23/02/2011Air Port Express Line now operational Trains now plying from New Delhi to Indira Gandhi International Airport to Dwarka sector 21 and back from 23/02/2011 after 2.00 pm. Time taken from New Delhi to Airport is only 18 mts. Fare is Rs.80/- Upto Dwarka fare is Rs.100/-. Check in facilities at the stations are not yet provided. Stations enroute are Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Aero City, IGI Airport.Dhauka Kuan and Delhi Aero City Stations are not yet functional. 14/01/2011Line 5 Violet Line now operational upto Badarpur Trains now plying beyond Sarita vihar to badarpur. 04/11/2010Line 3 to be extended upto Greater Noida As per HT (darpan.singh@hindustantimes.com), Extension of Line 3 from Noida City Centre to Greater Noida has been cleared. It will be 23 km extension from Noida City Centre, sec 39, sec 49, sec 50, sec 82, sec 93, along Greater Noida Expressway, PariChowk, Knowledge park, and will end at Badoki in Greater Noida. Likely completion date Dec 2011. Part of it will be elevated while the rest shall be on ground. Will have 22 stations, 13 of which shall be in Noida itself. Expected cost Rs.5000/- crore. 30/10/2010Line 3 extended Line 3 from Noida to Dwarka sec-9 extended upto Dwarka sec-21. 19/10/2010Metro Ph III Work Starts Third phase of Delhi Metro cleared in principle. It will cover the following routes.
Target date for completion is by 2015. With the expertise and experience gained by DMRC and the contractors, the project may be completed earlier.While the work may begin simaltaneously on more than one route at a time, completion may be sequential. Hope one or two routes shall be completed by Oct 2012. 03/09/2010Central Sectt. - Qutub Minar service startsCentral Secretariat to Qutub Minar metro service starts on 03/09/2010 4.00 PM. Qutub to Gurgaon metro is already operational. Chattarpur station has already been inaugurated. Thus now the line from Gurgaon to Jahangirpuri is completely operational. It covers Central Secratariat, Udyog Bhawan, Race Course, Jor Bagh, INA, AIIMS, Green Park, Haus Khas, Malviya Nagar, Saket, Qutub Minar, Chhatarpur, Sultanpur, Ghitorni, Arjan Garh, Guru Daronacharya, Sikanderpur, MG Road, IFFCO Chowk, Huda City Centre in Gurgaon. It will greatly benefit the commuters traveling to and from Gurgaon. Metro now trually connects Delhi to Gurgaon. Delhi Metro:DELHI METRO is the major step towards improving(rather solving) the traffic problem in NCR region.
